Tiger in the Rain is lead by a Korean designer Jung Sun Lee, who has 15 years of fashion industry work behind her in Korea. When Lee moved to London to take time off of Seoul’s fast paced fashion industry, she started re-purporsing Burberry’s classic trench coats as a hobby. The head turning reformed pieces soon gained attention in London’s high end boutiques such as Browns Focus. When Lee launched her first collection, Tiger in the Rain 2013 AW, MC2 immediately invited her designs to be exhibited at their Paris showroom along with Jean Paul Gaultier, Juun. J, and Jill Sander Navy. Tiger in the Rain is a high end interpretation of rock spirit. In the past the designer has commented that androgynous styling of glam rock and Saint Laurent’s timeless punk rock designs are few of her inspirations for her label. The designer infuses rock, high end vintage garments and couture like tailoring, often making pieces all by hand. Tiger in the Rain is composed of three collections: reformed vintage line, t-shirt line and a ready to wear that is influenced by vintage garments.
