AW17 Foreshadows from Wreck Beach

This week, Micky took off to the Wreck Beach and foreshadowed upcoming trends for 2017FW. Our picks included Loewe, heritage leather craftsmen found fashion house of Spain and Neil Barrett, high-end casual wear made with heritage British tailoring techniques. Keywords are - minimal, feminine vs. masculine and avant garde.

Off Duty

Micky is wearing a light blue shirt dress from Loewe’s 2017 FW ready-to-wear collection by Jonathan Anderson. Described as a “non-narrative collage,” Loewe’s 17FW womenswear presents casual silhouettes with magical versatility for styling. Wear this oversized lightweight shirt dress to the beach picnic or with a leather jacket in autumn.

Beach Goth

Micky is wearing black pleated gabardine dress from Neil Barrett’s 2017 Pre-Fall collection. Masculine straight cut silhouette is detailed with split seam line at front and elongated versatile keyhole closure at back. Barrett’s Pre-Fall fuses the designer’s British military tailoring disciplines with feminine, or even sensual details. Wear this dress with open back for the summer or with a blazer in autumn.

Post Industrial Romance

Wearing white Wool knit sweater from Loewe’s 2017FW menswear collection, the sweater comes in relaxed fit for men and oversized ‘mini dress’ fit for women. The brand logo knit front is added with Loewe’s quirky leather paperclip. Anderson described the collection “a youthful eclecticism, something post-industrial.”
