Unravel Joins KOKKO's List
New up and coming brand to join Kokko’s list is Ben Taverniti’s Unravel. It’s the Los Angeles-born high end streetwear brand Kardashians and Jenners literally ‘steal’ to wear. Joyce Bonelli, Unravel’s celebrity tastemaker commented “They (Jenners and Kardashians) try it on and don't give it back to me and they joke, 'Tell uncle Ben to get you a new one,' I literally have nothing for myself.”

Taverniti started Unravel in 2015 after directing or designing for names like Taverniti Couture, Jeremy Scott and Hudson Jeans. The motto of this brand is 'let’s destroy all this and start something new.’ An anti-conformist/ off-duty fashion model look in a laid back street style is the picture for this brand. How could Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid stay away from it? Both Taverniti and Bonelli assures that despite the celebrity craze around Unravel, they are not just throwing their garments at celebrities. Based in L.A., and produced in Milan, Taverniti nails it down to "L.A. is the vibe, Milan is where we make it happen and Paris is just home” for Unravel.

2017 SS Unravel features skull printed crewneck t-shirts with bold rips and distressing. There is a deconstructed sweatshirt in loose fit with its crewneck collar detached at sides. One of the most well recognized Unravel garment is its body-hugging skinny fit pants and this season, their signature skinny fit pants come in distressed and faded black denim.
